MALIGAON, JULY 20 (MExN): The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) Cultural Association, Maligaon, concluded its Summer Cultural Workshop 2025 with a colourful closing ceremony held at Rang Bhawan, Maligaon, on July 18, reaffirming its commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of the Northeast while promoting contemporary artistic expression among the youth.

The event, organised within the NFR Headquarters premises, witnessed enthusiastic participation from railway employees and their family members. A series of vibrant performances—featuring traditional and modern dance, music, drama, and fine arts—were staged, showcasing the artistic talents and cultural pride of the railway fraternity.
Senior railway officials, dignitaries, staff, and their families were present at the occasion, underscoring the community’s collective support for cultural engagement. The programme featured a blend of traditional folk forms such as Bihu, Bagurumba, and Jhumur alongside contemporary song and dance, highlighting both heritage and evolving creative expression.

The month-long workshop provided intensive training in folk dances, modern music, visual arts, and theatre, offering young participants and family members a platform to reconnect with their roots while exploring new artistic avenues.
