Maligaon, May 1 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to provide stoppages of few trains at certain stations over Alipurduar and Katihar divisions on an experimental basis for a period of six months. These new experimental stoppages of different trains will be helpful for the common people of a vast area of North Bengal; the local businessmen, traders will also get benefitted. It will also fulfill long standing demands of people residing in these areas.
The following are the stoppages and the names of the trains:
• Stoppage of train No. 13141/13142 (Sealdah-New AlipuduarSealdah) Teesta Torsa Express has been provided at Belakoba station. MP (Lok Sabha) of Jalpaiguri Dr Jayanta Kumar Roy flagged off the Teesta Torsa Express with new stoppage at Belakoba station on April 30. Train No. 13141 (Sealdah-New Alipurduar) Teesta Torsa Express from now onward, arrives at Belakoba at 02:28 hours to depart at 02:30 hours and train No. 13142 (New Alipurduar-Sealdah) Teesta Torsa Express arrives at Belakoba at 15:08 hours to depart at 15:10 hours.
• At Dhupguri station, train No. 12345 (Howrah- Guwahati) Saraighat Express from now onward, arrives at 02:20 hours to depart at 02:22 hours and train No.12346 (Guwahati-Howrah) Saraighat Express arrives at 18:15 hours to depart at 18:17 hours w.e.f. May 1.
• At Harischandrapur station, train No. 13053 (Howrah-Radhikapur) Kulik Express will arrive at 17:10 hours to depart at 17:12 hours and train No.13054 (Radhikapur-Howrah) Kulik Express will arrive at 07:15 hours to depart at 07:17 hours w.e.f. May 2.
• At Harischandrapur station, train No. 15643 (Puri-Kamakhya Weekly Express) will arrive at 15:55 hours to depart at 15:57 hours w.e.f. 06-05-2023 and train No. 15644 (Kamakhya-Puri Weekly Express) will arrive at 11:46 hours to depart at 11:48 hours w.e.f. May 4.
• At Eklakhi station, train No. 13169 (Sealdah-Saharsa) Hate Bazare Bi-weekly Express will arrive at 05:03 hours to depart at 05:05 hours w.e.f. May 2 and train No. 13170 (Saharsa-Sealdah) Hate Bazare Bi-weekly Express will arrive at 20:53 hours to depart at 20:55 hours w.e.f. May 3.
• At Eklakhi station, train No. 13063 (Howrah-Balurghat Express) will arrive at 15:53 hours to depart at 15:55 hours and train No. 13064 (Balurghat-Howrah Express) will arrive at 22:30 hours to depart at 22:32 hours w.e.f. May 3.
• At Samsi station, train No. 13147 (Sealdah-Bamanhat) Uttarbanga Express will arrive at 03:08 hours to depart at 03:10 hours and train No. 13148 (Bamanhat-Sealdah) Uttarbanga Express will arrive at 20:38 hours to depart at 20:40 hours w.e.f. May 3.
‘The details of timings of these stoppages are available in Railway’s website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway,’ Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR stated in a press release.
