NFR extends New Tinsukia-Dhubri special train service

Guwahati, August 19 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the service of special train between New Tinsukia and Dhubri for another three months in both directions. 

Accordingly, Train No 05922 (New Tinsukia - Dhubri) Special will depart from New Tinsukia at 2:30 PM on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from August 20 to November 19. The train will reach Dhubri the next day at 4:30 AM.

In return direction, Train No 05921 (Dhubri– New Tinsukia) Special will depart from Dhubri at 5AM on every Wednesday, Friday and Monday from August 21-November 20 to reach New Tinsukia at 10PM on the same day.

Both ways, the special train will run via Dhemaji, Vishwanath Chariali, Udalguri, Rangiya Jn, Nalbari, Tihu, Pathsala, New Bongaigaon, Sapatgramand Gauripur stations. 

The train comprised of 15 coaches including AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second-class categories.  

“This extension will serve the purpose of passengers who travel frequently from upper Assam to lower Assam via north bank of Brahmaputra for work and medical emergency,” informed a press release from the CPRO NFR.
