Maligaon, October 31 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), across its zones. The main event was held at the NFR headquarters in Maligaon where General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, along with senior officers and staff, was present, an official statement said.
Shrivastava administered the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' pledge to the gathering, reaffirming their commitment to national unity, integrity, and security. Similar events were held at the office of the General Manager (Construction), Arun Kumar Chaudhary, and across all five divisions of the NFR. As part of the celebrations, a 'Run for Unity' was also organised, which saw enthusiastic participation from officers and employees, the statement added.
