NFR on customer interface in freight transportation

Maligaon, February 16 (MExN): To improve customer interface and augment freight transportation, the Jatinga Lampur station under Lumding is open for booking of outward goods traffic for a period of three months from January 3, except for coal, POL, livestock, explosive and crane consignments.

Rangapani and Jalpaiguri stations under Katihar; Binnaguri, Falakata, Damdim and New Mal Junction stations under Alipurduar; Baihata, Udalguri and Viswanath Charali stations under Rangiya; Ambassa, Badarpur, Borpathar, Belonia, Bokajan, Dimapur, Hojai, Jagiroad, Lalabazar, Naojan, New Haflong, Sabroom, Senchoa and Sribar stations under Lumding; Bhojo, Charali, Lakwa and Tuli stations under Tinsukia are also open for handling of both outward and inward goods traffic. However, coal, POL, live stock, explosive and crane consignments have not been allowed to book in Baihata, Jagiroad, Lakwa and Tuli stations.

Handling of coal traffic has been permitted in Jagiroad station under Lumding div (for both outward & inward), Baihata station under Rangiya (for outward), Lakwa and Tuli stations under Tinsukia (for outward). A press note stated that for outward coal traffic Dudhnoi station under Rangiya is open from January 13 and Senchoa station under Lumding is open from January 25. Tetelia, Kamalajari and Digaru stations under Lumding are opened for handling both outward & inward coal traffic from January 18.
