NFR registers over 55% growth in parcel loading

Maligaon, February 7 (MExN): During the year 2021-22 up to January 2022, NF Railway achieved revenue to the tune of Rs 38.55 crore from parcel loading registering a growth of more than 44 percent in comparison to previous year for the corresponding period. 

During the period from April 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022, NF Railway has transported commodities of more than 112.5 thousand tonnes through parcel trains and parcel vans as against 72.37 thousand tonnes transported during the corresponding period of the last year; it is an increase of 55.51%. 

A press release issued by Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR stated that parcel transportation by rail is the cost-effective, quickest and environment-friendly option for customers. In addition to time-tabled parcel special trains, NF Railway has also been running demand based parcel vans successfully.
