NFR to run parcel trains between Guwahati and Dibrugarh

Guwahati, April 28 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway will be operating Parcel Express trains as per fixed time tables towards Dibrugarh from Guwahati on April 29 and 30 to ensure transportation of essential goods in small quantities, a statement from NFR’s Chief Public Relations Officer Subhanan Chanda stated. 


Parcel express train towards Dibrugarh will leave from Guwahati at 9:20 am on April 29 with adequate stoppage time at Jagiroad, Chaparmukh, Hojai, Lumding Jn, Diphu, Dimapur, Sarupathar, Furkating Jn, Mariani Jn, Simaluguri Jn, Duliajan and New Tinsukia stations during its journey for loading/unloading of items. During the return journey, this special parcel train will start from Dibrugarh at 9:20 am on April 30 with stoppages at all nominated stations for loading/unloading of materials, it added. 


For parcel booking in these trains the interested traders / customers including government agencies/departments may contact the respective Station Manager or any of the following officials for more details: Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Lumding (9957553950), Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Tinsukia (9957555950), Asst. This parcel train service can also be availed by anybody who is in need of sending consignments to different places by calling a centralized helpline number 138, it added.
