
Maligaon, October 3 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate two pairs of special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming festive season starting October 5.
As per an official release, a Puja special train will run twice a week to and fro between Anand Vihar Terminal and Katihar from October 8 until November 27 for 15 trips in both directions.
The other train will run for one trip on October 5 from Dibrugarh to SSS Hubballi Junction.
Train no. 04047 (Katihar – Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart from Katihar every Wednesday and Saturday at 6 PM to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 5:50 PM the next day. In the return direction, train no. 04048 (Anand Vihar Terminal – Katihar) will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal every Tuesday and Friday at 3:20 PM, arriving in Katihar at 3 PM the next day.
The train will run with one AC first class, one AC 2-Tier, two AC 2-Tier cum AC 3-Tier, one AC 3-Tier, ten sleeper class, and one general second class coach.
The train will run via Khagaria, Barauni, Patliputra, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Mirzapur, Prayagraj Junction, and Chipyana Buzurg in both directions.
The special train from Dibrugarh to SSS Hubballi Junction (train no. 05926) will depart from Dibrugarh on October 5 at 1:30 PM to reach SSS Hubballi Junction on October 8 at 9 AM.
The train will run with ten sleeper and two general second class coaches, with stoppages at New Tinsukia, Simaluguri Junction, Furkating Junction, Lumding Junction, Chaparmukh Junction, Guwahati, Rangiya Junction, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Dankuni, Kharagpur Junction, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Vizianagaram Junction, Samalkot Junction, Rajamundry, Vijayawada Junction, Guntakal Junction, Toranagallu, and Gadag Junction.
