Northeast Frontier Railway Women's Welfare Organisation observed World Environment Day.

Maligaon, June 20 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (NFRWWO) observed World Environment Day with the theme ‘Only One Earth’ earlier on June 6. 

NFRWWO led by its president, Abha Gupta along with other executive committee members planted saplings at Jagriti Shiksha Niketan, Pandu, Guwahati. The organisation also undertook tree plantation drive at the NF Railway Central Hospital, Maligaon with active participation of health workers.

At Jagriti Shiksha Niketan, Gupta briefed about the importance of Mother Nature and requested all to spread the awareness for saving the environment for a cleaner and greener earth. NFRWWO team also distributed packet food items amongst the school students.

NFRWWO plays an important role in the field of employee welfare and need-based social service through its multifarious activities. The organization always rises to the call of society- be it be pandemic, environmental awareness or natural calamities, Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer stated in a press release.
