Ngada King-Post Pulling ceremony held at Tseminyu

Tseminyu, November 26 (MExN): Traditional morung king-post pulling ceremony was held at Tseminyu town on November 26 which is also an important part of Ngada mini hornbill festival to be held on November 27 and 28. Advisor for Vet & AH and Women Resources Development Department R Khing also participated in the pulling ceremony.  

According to a DIPR report, the king-post pulling started at Tsokinsin Junction in Tseminyu new town and culminated at the main Morung for Ngada mini hornbill celebration at RSA ground Tseminyu Old town.  

Thanksgiving prayer was pronounced by R Yhunsenlo Kent and the procedural announcement for pulling of king-post was made by Jwenga Kent, Chairman Tseminyu union.    

About three hundred men folk from Rengma tribe in traditional attire/ dress participated the ceremonial pulling programme.
