Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has expressed sadness over the demise of Y. Mangko Phom, former president of ENPO. In a condolence note, NGBF stated that Mangko was one of the dedicated and selfless leaders who worked for social uplift of his community in particular and Nagas in general. The NGBF acknowledged his contributions while conveying deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
In a separate condolence note, Yachem Students' Union (YSU) paid great tribute to Y Mangko Phom describing him as “our charismatic leader”. The note from YSU president, Chingba Phom and information & publicity secretary, Nokchem Angth mentioned that Mangko was the first graduate of Langto soil and contributed immensely in the field of education towards the society. “The late leader was not only an educationalist/educationist but also a mentor and a guide for the students’ community of Yachem in particular and Phom in general,” YSU stated. “The late leader has served the society in different level and left good footprints for the youngsters to harvest.” The students’ union further conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God bestow his shelter and comfort upon them.
