NGBF & DDGBA receive RN Ravi

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The Nagaland GB’s Forum (NGBF) President, Shalem Konyak; General Secretary Shikuto Zalipu and Dimapur District GB’s Association (DDGBA) President Khehovi Chophi (Hoito Village Chief), Office Bearers and executive welcomed and received the newly appointed Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi at  the Dimapur Airport, on July 31. 

A joint press release issued by the President and the Secretary for Publicity & Information, DDGBA stated that in their brief meet, the Association “expressed their optimism that besides other related issues regarding Nagaland, RN Ravi as the Governor and also the interlocutor for Naga Talks will facilitate and hammer out early solution between the Government of India and the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) comprising of NSCN (IM) and the WC (NNPGs).”

The DDGBA in the release lauded all the 8 Administrative GBs and representative for responding to their call, and making the programme a success. It also acknowledges the ‘Dance Troupe of Old Showuba’, and ‘16 Young Girls (Representing 16 Naga Tribes).

“Who in this heat and hot climate were patient yet cheerful enough to recieve the Governor in their full Traditional Gear/Attire,” it stated.

The DDGBA also informed that it is functioning its Office, every Wednesday (s) and Saturday (s) from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm.
