NGBF, JCPI extend gratitude

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGPF) and Joint Committee for Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) has extended their appreciation to the citizens of Nagaland and Government machineries; especially the respective district administration and police for no “untoward incident reported” on the peaceful Nagaland Bandh of February 11.

After a joint meeting held on February 12, the organisations further stated that despite short notice for a bandh with no deployment of volunteers, the voice of the people has been made “loud and clear to Nor th East Region and rest of India that the Naga public support the early Naga political settlement and also totally oppose CAB.”

The joint meeting also proposed to have further deliberation on these two burning issues - early Naga political settlement and opposing the CAB by inviting all tribal apex bodies, civil society organizations and all the political parties in Nagaland - to be facilitated by NGBF, informed a press note received here.
