
Dimapur, August 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF) has stated that all entities that are in political dialogue with the Government of India that “for the good of Naga people” and that the Federation stands for an “inclusive, peaceful, honourable and acceptable political solution.”
The NGBF clarified in this context that it has met both NSCN (IM) as well as the Working Committee (WC) consisting of six Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) that are involved in talks with the GoI to resolve the Indo-Naga political issue.
The NGBF thus acknowledged the “historic move, signing the August 3, 2015, Framework Agreement” as well as the “preamble for political dialogue released on November 17, 2017” for “diligently working to bring permanent peace in Nagaland.”
The Federation, “as a custodian of Naga Customary law, usage and practices of Naga traditions and a front-line mediator and facilitator” stated that it has repeatedly appealed to the Government of India to lift the ban and remove bounty on some leaders and officially invite NSCN (K) and NNC (Adinno) to the negotiation table because “inclusiveness is the way forward.”
Similarly, the NGBF also appealed to the NSCN (K) and NNC (Adinno) to “come forward and initiate peace and unity.”
