Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The Nagaland GBs Federation (NGBF) has once again appealed to “re-consider the decision to call whole Nagaland indefinite bandh from February 13 onwards.”
It requested the Government and tribal organizations to solve the ongoing crises in a democratic manner and not bring tribal or political color.
In a press release, the Federation further acknowledged the decision to nullify the ULB election conducted on February 1, 2017 and also appealed to the security forces to maintain their normal duties and avoid unnecessary confrontation.
“At this juncture mushrooming of new tribal organizations is not a healthy sign which may dislodge the fabric of Naga society in future,” the Federation added.
Meanwhile, NGBF requested to let the Government machineries function, resume internet services, and also allow schools, colleges to function without hindrance. Further, it informed all the GBs in Nagaland to safeguard the State properties, restrain the youths from violent activities, and promote peace and harmony.
