
Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): The Regional Resource Training Centre of Kripa Foundation (Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya & Nagaland), organised a three day induction and orientation training for new and existing TI NGOs, at DUDA Guest House in Kohima. It was sponsored by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society. The training was schedule from November 4 to the 6th which was successfully concluded today.
The purpose of the training was to ensure the delivery of quality HIV prevention intervention through Targeted Intervention (TIs) under NACP III in Nagaland, with the approach of standardized operational guidelines procedures, for implementing comprehensive HIV prevention service. This are enhancements on the capacities of individuals and institutions to implement the programme effectively.
The main objective of the training was to understand the concept of ‘Targeted Intervention, Understand Operational Guideline of NACP III, Quality Service delivery to HRG, Financial report Expectation of NACO-NSACS, NGOs Financial Procedures.’
Kripa Foundation Nagaland RRTC NE II Coordinator Theja Theyo said participants comprised of NGOs, chief functionaries and project managers and was attended by 13 NGOs from the state, which include six new NGOs to implement targeted intervention among Injecting Drug Users in the state, funded by NSACS.
The training was facilitated by Dr. Joyce Angami Projects Manager (INDIA), The Nossal Institute for Global Health (the University of Melbourne), Abou Mere Director of Kripa Foundation Nagaland, Fr. Joe Mariadhas, director of Shalom Rehabilitation Centre, Tokheli Project State Coordinator OST, EHA, Dimapur, Khyuchamo, Monitoring Officer (Kripa Foundation), TI Ketho, Project Coordinator OST, Kripa Foundation Vizo, Finance Officer (Kripa Foundation) and Khuto Asst. Deputy Director Finance, NSACS.
