Kohima, July 10 (MExN): With the aim of helping the vulnerable sections of the society during this COVID-19 situation, Leena Sandeep Tamgadge, donated medicines to various NGOs in Kohima, in collaboration with 181- Women Helpline, Nagaland on July 9. Leena is the wife of Sandeep M Tamgadge (IPS), PHQ ADGP (Adm), and Managing Director of Arobic Remedies & Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd.
The 181- Women Helpline, Nagaland team facilitated the distribution of the medicines to the NGOs. “Her contribution will enable the NGOs to provide basic healthcare and support to the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides the initial donation, Tamgadge hopes to connect with more NGOs in future and to continue to support those in need,” 181-Women Helpline Nagaland stated in a press release.
Arobic Remedies & Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd is based in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Besides ventures in segments like Pharmaceutical Formulation, Herbal and OTC products, Medical Equipments, Surgical and Safety tools etc. it deals mainly in gynaecological medicines. The company plans to launch in Nagaland soon, it stated.
181-Women Helpline is a 24 hour toll-free telecom service, exclusively designed to support women affected by violence. It provides immediate and emergency response to any woman or girl facing violence within public or private space through referral (linking with appropriate authority, such as Hospital, Ambulance, Police, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority, etc.), and provides information about women related government schemes and programs across the country. It is integrated with the Sakhi – One Stop Centres (OSCs), in all districts, as well as the Family Counselling Centres (FCCs).
