Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) S Supongmeren Jamir on Wednesday thanked all the stakeholders who acted with exemplary pro-activeness and rallied together in unison following the unfortunate collapse of a portion of National Highway-2 near the Kisama exit gate.
“During my follow up visit to the site today, I was deeply encouraged to witness the spirit of unity and swift action demonstrated by various stakeholders. I particularly extend my deepest gratitude to the Phesama Village Council, affected landowners, District Administration, the contractor, and the NHIDCL team for their immediate and coordinated response which has enabled the commencement of the repair work starting today,” the MP stated in a press release.
Jamir noted that NH-2 is a vital lifeline, facilitating crucial intra and interstate connectivity. “I appreciate the assurance given by NHIDCL officials and the contractor to complete the restoration work within ten days. I urge them to remain committed to this stated goal and ensure its timely realization,” he stated.
“This collective effort is a strong reminder of how much we can achieve when we come together in times of need. I encourage all involved to continue working in unity and ensure the timely completion of the restoration work for the greater public good,” he urged.
