Tuensang DPDB resolves to appeal to DCs of Kiphire, Longleng and Mokokchung to address the joint concern
Tuensang, February 17 (MExN): The District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang on February 17. The meeting was chaired by Toshi Wungtung Chairman DP&DB & Advisor for IPR, SCERT and VG Government of Nagaland and the meeting was also attended Muthingnyuba Sangtam MLA.
A DIPR report stated that the discussion on the deplorable condition of NH-202 dominated the session where the members were of the views that the most important road not only connects to other states like Assam and Manipur, which is also a volatile state in law and order situation, but also one of the most important roads for security and international relations concern which connects to Myanmar. The house resolved to appeal to the DCs of Kiphire, Longleng and Mokokchung to address a joint concern so that it can be reported to higher authorities.
The Chairman appealed to the Departments to write on the basic necessity amenities which are of urgent issues so that the Legislatures on a visit to meet NITI Aayog will address for the priority. The House also resolved to reiterate the list of grievances that has been submitted to Multi Disciplinary Committee, Government of India to expedite to take and implementation of the grievances list of the four districts of Eastern part of Nagaland.
The House also discussed on waste management issues where DC Tuensang appealed to the HODs of the district to initiate first in the respective office level so that the general public can be asked to follow suite. On waste management issue arrival of the plastic shredding Machine was informed by DC Tuensang, so that the awareness campaign to segregate the waste from respective house level is the most important awareness activity.
On the agenda of Digitalization of X-Ray machine at PHC Longpang, CMO Tuensang addressed the house on the urgent need of the CD Scan Machine and Digital X-Ray machine District Hospital Tuensang.
Regarding the proposal of Kihoto Theological College for the Grand-In-Aid Scheme 2019-20 under Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland the house discussed and decided to forward for the Government’s approval.
A powerpoint presentation on of NACC accreditation was presented by the Sao Chang Government College where highlighting on the accreditation activities and monetary issues involved. The College also appealed to the District Offices to contribute in every ways possible to make the dream of the only college of Tuensang District to be accredited under NAAC.
