Dimapur, December 14 (MExN): The National Highway-29 Landowners’ Union (Purana Bazar-Chümoukidima) has resolved that all matters relating to compensation of NH-29, in respect of four-lane widening and property damage along the Purana Bazar-Chümoukidima stretch will be claimed jointly only through the union. During its general body meeting held on December 13, the union also resolved to send two of its members to coordinate with the verification committee set up by the Government. Over 200 members who attended the meeting also expressed their appreciation towards the executive's effort pertaining to the favourable verdict of the Gauhati High Court in the matter relating to land compensation of four- lane widening in said stretch, informed a press release from the union.
