Kohima, March 14 (MExN): The Dental Department of Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) under the aegis of National Oral Health Programme observed the World Oral Health Week 2025 at Good Samaritan Senior Citizens Home, Meriema, Kohima on March 13.
Chairing the short programme, Managing Director, Good Samaritan Home, Neithonuo T Liegise, highlighted about their organization and thanked the team for providing free healthcare services.
A free dental camp was conducted with an aim to reach out to the senior citizens and provide quality of life through good oral health.
The team led by District Oral Health Officer (NOHP), Dr I Simon Sumi, also shared the importance of good oral health and demonstrated on proper brushing techniques. Free oral screenings were undertaken by Dental Specialist, Dr Neingutuonuo Angami, D Neiphrezo Soriinuo, Dr Noyinbeni, Dr Mhonsenli, Phychologist Pelebeinuo Khezhie, Social Worker Achi Walling and Medical attendant Neitsope. Free Removable Partial dentures were also delivered to two beneficiaries. A total of 25 senior citizens were screened and free oral hygiene kits with medicines were distributed.
