Wokha, June 10 (MExN): The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) has assured of commencing maintenance work on the Wokha-Merapani road. NHIDCL Deputy General Manager Neeraj Khare gave the assurance at the Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on June 10, as per a DIPR release. Khare told the meeting that the NHIDCL will be responsible for maintenance and repairing any damaged portions of the said road during the defect liability period. The duration of the liability period was however not specified. The DIPR informed that MLA and Advisor for Agriculture, MhathungYanthan, who is Chairperson of the Wokha DPDB, assured the NHIDCL of extending support of the state government and all stakeholders of the district.
