NHRA appeal to National workers on taxation

Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Hotels & Restaurant Association (NHRA) appeals to all the National workers to look at the plight of the hotels and restaurant in Nagaland stating, “As comparing to other states/cities, we are nowhere near to them in terms of income.”

“As we, all know that there is no inflow of tourist or outside investors due to the law and order situation in our State. Hotels are the only scope of industry we have and with tourism having the most potential of generating income and thereby boosting our economy,” NHRA stated in a press release.

NHRA appeals to all the different groups to be considerate while collecting the different taxes and “feels that hotels and restaurant should be encouraged rather than to be taxed so that more local entrepreneurs can take up this industry to boost tourism in our state.” The NHRA has appeal and “seek co-operation from every individual to be a good host to all the outsiders/tourist visiting our state, as they are the people, who brings employment and income to our people.”

Meanwhile, the NHRA while fully supporting the cause and appeal made by ANSTA to abstain from paying tax to the different groups of National workers feels that teachers should be exempted from paying taxes, as teachers are the builders of our future generation.
