Mokokchung, September 24 (MExN): The 6th NI Jamir Memorial Nagaland Open Basketball Tournament will be held from October 8-10 at the Basketball Court, Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. The tournament will feature competitions for both men and women. Organised by the Intermingle Club, Mokokchung under the aegis of the Basketball Association, Mokokchung District and the Nagaland Basketball Association, the event is touted as one of the biggest basketball tournaments in the State in terms of prize money.
The champion (both men’s and women’s) will win 1 lakh each along with a trophy, while the runners-up for both categories will receive 50,000 rupees each along with a trophy. The ‘Most Valuable Player’ for both men’s and women’s will receive 10,000 rupees each. The tournament is sponsored by Nagaland Minerals and Mines.
