DIMAPUR, MARCH 6 (MExN): The Nagaland In Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) has expressed extreme displeasure over the incidents of vandalism at PHC Akuluto & CHC Jalukie by a mob and the physical and mental harassment meted out to the doctors and staff in CHC Jalukie. A condemnation note from NIDA stated that the medical department, in recent times, has been receiving similar mistreatment. “As doctors or medical staff we treat patients with our best abilities in spite of so many constraints and in return we also expect due regard instead of harassment,” the condemnation note stated. The Association has therefore demanded that appropriate action should be taken to the perpetrators at the earliest. It also stated that any complaint against its members should be addressed to the concerned authority instead of resorting to such high handedness. The Association has therefore urged upon the concerned district administration and the police to nab the culprits at the earliest and take appropriate action, so that such incidence do not reoccur against any government servants in future.
