NIDC secures 5th Rank for outstanding performance

Dimapur, Dec 28 (MExN): The National Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) at its mid-term Review Conference held on December 22 at the India Habibtat Centre, New Delhi awarded the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) with a certificate for securing Fifth Rank in the country in implementation of programmes of NMDFC during the period 2004-05.

The certificate with the shield was awarded along with cash award of Rs. 1 lakh, which is the first of its kind in the history of NIDC. 

NIDC has been the State Channeling agency for the schemes of NMDFC since 1997-98. According to a press release issued by  the Managing Director, NIDC it was stated, “Under the schemes of NMDFC, loans at highly subsidized rate of interest is given to entrepreneurs from the Minority communities for setting up small enterprises and economic activities.” The release also added that the NIDC has assisted over 2000 entrepreneurs with a total disbursal of Rs. 13.15 Crore till 2004 -05.    

It may be mentioned that the award was received by Maongwati Aier, Deputy Resident Commissioner, New Delhi on behalf of the NIDC in an impressive function graced by Qari Mohd. Mian Mazhari, Chairman, NMDFC.
