Nieketuno Sechü crowned Miss Chümoukedima 2023

Chümoukedima, October 9 (MExN): Nieketuno Sechü was crowned Miss Chümoukedima 2023 during an event organised by Aghatos Society under the banner of Meraki Entertainment Nagaland at Tetso College amphitheatre hall, Sovima on October 7. Sechü walked away with a prize of Rs 70,000 and also the title of Best Ethnic subtitle. The event was supported by Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN).

The 1st runner-up, Choilung Phom won a total prize of Rs 50,000 and bagged two subtitles - Miss Multimedia and Miss Queen of Hearts. Ruth Chawang bagged the 2nd runner-up positing and won a total prize of Rs 30,000. She also won the Best Walk sub title.
A total of 14 contestants vied for the title and went through three rounds- modern ethnic wear round, casual round and evening gown round.

Meraki Entertainment Nagaland in a press release stated that this year the title was sponsored by Achievers Academy leading coaching institute. The hampers for all the winners were sponsored by Lisu Care Pure and Natural, Wewe Collection, Gutouch, Humtsoe Craft and Zenki organic. The evening gown wear was designed and fully sponsored by IWSN Training Institute, and the party casual designer wear by Mhayani Design. All the three winners Tiaras were sponsored by The Pick Kohima.

Lovi Awomi, VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland groomed, mentored and choreographed the event, with Ralan Patton as the contestant manager. The show was directed by Thejakhrienuo Nakhro and Bashing Nyam as the Assistant show director. The event was hosted by Imnasenla Rachel.

KL Pamei performed as a guest artist. The show also had three artists namely Herman’s Band Noklak, Euli Kinimi, Bamile Pame and Ks Dance and Fitness Studio.

Others present during the grand finale included Miss Chümoukedima winners, Miss Earth Nagaland and Mister Chümoukedima.

The pageant was judged by Dr Nukshi Esther, Founder of Institute of Psychology Counselling & Educational Research, Chümoukedima; Idingia, Asia Youngest Diamond Director, AAB Entrepreneurs – Founder; Dr Althea Sukhato Wotsa, MBBS MD (Psychiatry) Medical Superintendent, Faith hospital Dimapur; Sanjeev Tamang, Fashion Designer, Fashion Choreographer, fashion design Head instructor at IWSN and pageant coach by Profession; Enyuh Phom, President Lemja Organisation; and Veineinem Singson Haolai, Finance Secretary, BASN Miss Nagaland organisation.

The event partners were Semp Engineering, Temsunaro Tsudir, Kaizen Fitness, Liros Closet, ZODMO, New Ebenezer Printing Press, Cozy Brown Restro, Kino World Group, Homely Baker, Obsession and SERENDIPITY.

Toreechu Jane and Nito Aye were the makeup and hairstylist. Nchumthong Photography and CINE PRODUCTION were the official photographer and videographer.

“Meraki Entertainment Nagaland has been hosting various shows such as Mister Kohima, Mister Dimapur, Miss Kiphire and Mister Chümoukedima. Established in 2018, it has been working to promote, develop and stimulate the growth of Naga youth in the field of arts and the fashion industry,” the release stated.
