NIELIT Sports: District administration beat NIELIT Chuchuyimlang

Our Correspondent Chuchuyimlang | April 5   The Mokokchung district administration defeated National Institute of E-Learning and Information Technology (NIELIT) Chuchuyimlang in cricket by 18 runs at a special match organized on Tuesday during the ongoing two days sports event of NIELIT held at the proposed “Nathwar Takkar stadium” Chuchuyimlang.   The district administration was represented by Deputy Commissioner Sushil Kumar Patel, EAC Chuchuyimlang Meyazungba, EAC Ongpangkong Livitoli Sukhalu, EAC Hq R. Daniel Angami, EAC Kobulong Throngdiba Tongpi, EAC Nukshimatong, and other administrative staff. NIELIT was represented by its joint director Daniel Meren, other faculty and student members. NIELIT student Tiasunep got the man of the match award for obtaining the highest runs and catches.   NIELIT which has an enrolment of 321 students for the current academic year was divided into four computer operating system software names including Android Gamers, Symbian Flyers, Meego Troopers and Linux Kernel as four groups for various activities in the annual sports event.   The event was preceded by a brief inaugural programme where the deputy commissioner delivered a short speech. He appreciated the growth of NIELIT Chuchuyimlang in leaps and bounds from a humble beginning. He also appreciated Ao Sanen Pongen, Chairman of Chuchuyimlang Village Council and all his colleague Council members for donating land free of cost for various developmental purposes in Chuchuyimlang.   Joint director of NIELIT gave some highlights of the institute and its activities down the academic years. He also appreciated the Chuchuyimlang Village Council for donating land freely for the upcoming NIELIT multi complex and also for all the support and cooperation extended to the institute.   Munindra Nath Borah and Tiamoa were among the NIELIT staff lead event managers. The event began with invocation by Yashimeren, staff of NIELIT.
