Niki Sumi led NSCN/GPRN meets AK Mishra in Delhi

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 7 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN led by General (Retired) Niki Sumi and Starson Lamkang Naga met with the Government of India’s representative for the Naga peace talks, AK Mishra in Delhi. 

A press release from the MIP informed that the NSCN/GPRN conveyed their “commitment to peace and the Naga peace talks and also apprised him that NSCN/GPRN revived the ceasefire agreement with Government of India; heeding to the clarion call of the Nagas for peace and inclusive and amicable political solution as per the wishes and aspirations of the Naga people.” 

“NSCN/GPRN being a separate entity in the Naga peace process, reiterated our stand to the Government of India's representative that NSCN/GPRN would go by the aspirations and wishes of the Naga people and would not impede the Naga peace talks as long as it is the Naga people's desire for inclusive and amicable political solution,” it added. 

The NSCN/GPRN further stated that the Naga people's aspirations and wishes will be its guiding principle and objective.
