Nikos Hospital to resume services from Aug 3; Zion Hospital suspends services

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): All services like OPD, emergency/casualty, in-patient admission, etc., at the Nikos Hospital and Research Centre, Dimapur, would be resumed from August 3, hospital authorities informed on Saturday.

Earlier, the hospital was sealed after two patients admitted in its Intensive Care Unit tested positive for COVID-19.

Tracing, isolation and testing of all contacts were carried out following proper protocol under guidance of the health department, a release from Managing Director, Dr Victo A Wotsa stated.

Subsequently, all staff testing positive by TrueNat screening have been shifted to COVID care centre and the hospital complex has been thoroughly sanitised by the DMC, it said.

Non contact staffs are also in home quarantine since then, the release stated.

Meanwhile, the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner has also issued an order on July 30 for unsealing and permission to resume services. Following the order, would resume all services including OPD, emergency/casualty, in-patient admission, deliveries, operation, vaccination, etc, from August 3, the release added. 

Zion Hospital suspends services
Following the detection of COVID-19 positive cases among “few staff”, the Zion Hospital and Research Centre, Dimapur, will be suspending all services with effect from August 2, until further notice. The hospital management informed on Saturday that all contact tracing, testing and isolation have been initiated as per government guidelines.
