Tuensang, August 25 (MExN): The Tuensang Deputy Commissioner has ordered the sealing of eight locations in Tuensang town and one in Tuensang village with immediate effect, for a period of 14 days or till further orders.
According to updates from the DIPR, the locations include four houses in High School B (Middle Sector) ward, one house in Laiket Lumpou Khel, one house in NST Sector, the Kejong Shop building and KS Sons Workshop building in NST Sector as well as a house in Tuensang village.
The DC notified that no entry or exit to/from the sealed areas shall be allowed until the expiry of the sealed period.
“All occupants of the sealed houses are to abide by health safety measures issued by the Government from time to time in relation with COVID - 19 pandemic,” he said, while adding that legal action as per provisions of the law will be initiated against any person violating the order.
District Task Force meeting held
Meanwhile, the DIPR also reported that the Tuensang District Task Force held a meeting on August 24 where the medical department presented reports on the random test of high risk individuals, Two COVID-19 positive cases were detected from among the, it said.
It also reported that all primary contacts were traced and necessary precautionary measures have been taken.
The DC also briefed on the status of BSL-II laboratory construction which will be inaugurated very soon, it said.
EAC (P), Mhashumi Ezung and Keyileuteing gave presentations on the COVID-19 awareness drive conducted in all the wards of Tuensang town, the DIPR said.
