Kohima: Nagaland Intercession Network (NINET), Nagaland Baptist Church Council has appealed to all the churches in Nagaland, irrespective of denomination and affiliation, to organize chain of prayer from April 1 till the end of the month for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election. Following prayer points have been suggested:
1. Pray for 81.4 Crore voters who have been enrolled for the upcoming Lok Sabha election from April 7 to elect 543 leaders across the country.

2. For the first time in Lok Sabha polls, Nagaland voters comprising 11,74663 are going to use Electorate Photo Identity Card (EPIC). Pray that these voters elect the right leader for Nagas.
3. Pray that no voters sell or accept money when different party workers distribute money for proxy voting.
4. Pray that no voter use or demand alcohol during election campaign.
5. Pray that no underage cast their vote so that every voter exercise their franchise with clear conscience.
6. Pray that every voter maintain peaceful environment in the polling station.
7. Pray that political parties and candidates in Nagaland will uphold the democratic traditions of the country, maintaining high standards of political discourse and fair play.
8. In Nagaland, there are Eleven Lakhs Fifty One Thousand Four Hundred eligible voters. Pray that each voter will freely exercise his/ her right without being purchased.
9. Pray that election will be free and fair throughout Nagaland. As a Christian state, pray that Election Code of Conduct will be strictly followed so that election will be clean and voters will not sell their votes.
10. Pray for the security personnel. That God will use them protecting God's people who come for voting. There will be about 2,059 polling booths in Nagaland using Electronic Voting Machines (EVS). Pray that these machines will not fail while voting.
11. Pray for the Returning Officers (DC) who will be responsible for each district. Pray also for all the Presiding Officers and Polling Officers who will be responsible for each polling booth. That God will give them wisdom to rule with truth and justice.
12. Let us pray that God will enable us to choose the right leader to represent Nagaland State.
13. Pray that the political parties (NPF, Congress, BJP, NCP, JDU) of Nagaland will not indulge in any manner like corruption and violence during the election.
14.Pray that all the Naga Christian electorates cast their own votes prayerfully and democratically without any misbehaviour or misconduct.
15. In electing a leader to represent the Naga people at the national level, pray that we will elect someone who will faithfully lead our people further from where we are right now.
16. Pray that on April 9, 2014, Naga Christians would exercise their franchise with the Christian spirit.
17. Pray that on April 9, 2014, Naga Christians would decide our fate peacefully as believers in Christ and no untoward or unwarranted situations will happen in the whole of Nagaland.
18. Pray that no killings, violence, clashes and booth capturing take place in entire Nagaland on voting day.
19. Let us pray that Naga Christians demonstrate our faith in God to the world on April 9, 2014 by conducting fair and clean election.
20. Pray for the Church leaders and believers that they would not indulge/ involve in any proxy voting or selling of votes as this degrades the image of God.
21. Pray for the Church, NGOs, Student bodies, Women organizations, and Tribal Hohos not to involve in any undemocratic practices during the election.
22. Pray for the Naga National leaders and workers that they would stand firm on the Naga principles, and not betray the inspirations of Naga nation by indulging in the forthcoming election for their individual gain or factional benefits.
23. Pray for the candidates Neiphiu Rio and KV Pusa that God will keep them in good health and sound mind throughout the election.
