DIMAPUR, JUNe 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has made an appeal to the 90 teachers who are attached to the directorate, DEOs and SDEOs to immediately go back to their place of posting and perform their duties as a responsible teacher as directed by the Directorate of School Education.
Expressing shock that the attached teachers have even filed a case in the Guahati High Court while challenging the state government’s order, the ANCSU reiterated their stand that it will not acknowledge any kind of attachment and deputation on whatever grounds in the greater interest of the students’ community.
It has therefore reminded those attached teachers who are unwilling to perform their assigned duties, that they may resign on moral grounds if they have lost the sense of being a potential teacher and pave way for those qualified candidates willing to teach.
Giving a breakup of the 90 teachers attached to the directorate, DEOs and SDEOs, ANCSU said there are 10 attached teachers in the directorate, 10 in SDEO Kohima, 21 in DEO Dimapur, 12 in SDEO Dimapur, 9 in SDEO Pughoboto, 4 in DEO Zunheboto, 5 in SDEO Zunheboto, 6 in SDEO Niuland, 5 in DEO Tuensang and 8 in SDEO Tuensang.
