Kohima, May 25 (MExN): The NIRD outreach programme on Management Information System (MIS) for MGREGS got underway here under the aegis of the Directorate of State Institute of Rural Development, Nagaland.
The training programme is being organized by NIRD Hyderabad in collaboration with SIRD, Nagaland. The participants are from Directorate of Rural Development, DRDAs and Village Council workers from all the districts of the state. The objective of the programme is to enhance the skills of data entry works of Computer Assistants involved with MGNREGS. It is being conducted under the expertise of DSR Murthy, NIRD Hyderabad and Velu-o Shijo, joint director SIRD.
Refresher course for District level (TOT) under BRGF is also being conducted for the master trainers from 5 BRGF districts which is being coordinated by Dr. Phola Konyak, principal ETC, Tuensang and Nodal Officer, BRGF Capacity Building.The training for “Management and Nurturing of SHG” is also being conducted mainly for the women groups and SHG members. The resource persons are from various departments and SIRD faculties who are experts in their fields. The training programme will go on till May 27. This was stated in a release issued by SIRD director Limasenla Jamir.
