NIT Nagaland celebrates 7th edition of ALRIS

NIT Nagaland observed National Science Day with the 7th edition of ALRIS-Applying Logic and Reason to Ignite Science on February 28.

Chümoukedima, February 28 (MExN): National Institute of Technology, (NIT) Nagaland in Chümoukedima observed National Science Day with the 7th edition of ALRIS-Applying Logic and Reason to Ignite Science on February 28. It was organised by National institute of Technology Nagaland Science Society (NNSS) with Prof VS Vallabhapurapu, Department of Physics, University of South Africa as the chief guest and Dr Manoranjan Kar, Department of Physics IIT Patna as the guest of honour.

Around 140 students from 10 schools and colleges participated in the event which started with the annual tree plantation done by Prof VS Vallabhapurapu, Dr Manoranjan Kar and NIT Nagaland Director and Prof JP Borah. A wall magazine designed by the NIT Nagaland students was launched by the chief guest. He also inaugurated the science exhibition. The day highlights included quiz, debate and poster competitions.

The NIT students also displayed models made by them in the innovation room. Cash prize, certificates and medals were given out to all the winners.
