NIT Nagaland conducts IDE Bootcamp

Chümoukedima, February 5 (MExN): A three-day Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp for Principals and Teachers of PM SHRI Schools from Nagaland and Tripura was organised from February 4 to 6 at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland.

The bootcamp was organised by the Department of School Education and Literacy, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC), in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, which supports entrepreneurship education.

The state-level inauguration ceremony was held on February 4. Dr (Prof.) A. Elayaperumal, Director, NIT Nagaland, delivered the keynote address. Addresses were also delivered by Dr D. Ganga, Associate Dean, Program SPOC and Coordinator, NIT Nagaland; Vidhikar Vishal from the Innovation Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education; and Dr Nzanthung Ngullie, Associate Dean and Program Coordinator, NIT Nagaland. Senior officials from higher education institutions were also present.

According to the organisers, over 130 Principals and Teachers from PM SHRI Schools of Nagaland and Tripura participated in the bootcamp.

The programme included group activities, immersive working sessions and workshops designed to foster creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills among participants. The sessions focused on helping educators understand the “why,” “what” and “how” of innovation, while strengthening entrepreneurial thinking within the education system.
