NIT faculty along with the officials of HCLTech during the recruitment drive held at the NIT campus in Chümoukedima on April 19.
Chümoukedima, April 22 (MExN): The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland, in collaboration with HCLTech, organised a three-day pool campus recruitment drive from April 17 to 19, bringing together engineering students from premier institutions across the Northeast.
Participating institutes included NIT Meghalaya, NIT Mizoram, NIT Manipur, NIT Agartala, NIT Sikkim, IIIT Guwahati, IIIT Agartala and host institute NIT Nagaland. HCLTech is a global IT services company known for delivering innovative technology solutions.
NIT Nagaland Director Prof A Elayaperumal felicitated the HCLTech panel members and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering innovation and enhancing employability among students.
Dean (Planning and Development) Prof R Kumar encouraged students to actively engage in such collaborative platforms and appreciated the partnership between academia and industry.
The event began on April 17 with a cultural programme hosted by HCLTech, featuring performances by the Albo Naga band and interactive activities such as Boom Wacker and AISketchBot, with around 250 students participating.
On April 18, a hackathon was conducted as part of the recruitment process, in which 18 students were selected, including four from NIT Nagaland.
Interviews for CN and AI Labs – CTO and Ecosystem were held on April 19, with results awaited. Seven students have progressed to the final round of the selection process.
The initiative provided a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and engage with industry professionals, further strengthening ties between technical institutions and corporate organisations.
