Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Representatives of the Naga International Trade Centers Association (NITCA) and Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 30, 2018 for a period of 5 years to jointly host a yearly Naga International Trade Expo & Summit in Dimapur from February 20-23 on a yearly basis.
It was stated here in a press release that the signing for the opening of the 1st Naga International Trade Expo & Summit (NITES) was held in the DMC Complex in the afternoon of November 2 by discussing the characteristics of the event, highlights and preparation for the 1st Naga International Trade Expo & Summit (NITES).
Naga International Trade Expo & Summit, an initiative of Naga International Trade Centers Association (NITCA) have always kept in mind the big picture of reform, innovation and opening-up of foreign trade development in the region. We believed that NITES will be a great platform opportunity and contribution for companies/businesses, products and brands to go global, to expand export and import, to build Naga areas into a big and strong trading and land-linked destination for various sectors, economy, and countries, and for development of an open regional economy.
Both NITCA and DMC had agreed that Trade Fair is one of the important elements to present the potential of the region/city, and it is also an important element to bring in collaboration, and cooperation between various agencies, partners, and companiesfrom around the world to develop the economic activity of the region/state, and the city in particular.
The 1st Naga International Trade Expo & Summit (NITES) will start from February 20 – February 23, 2019 in Dimapur focusing on 9 sectors namely: Building Materials & Hardware; Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances; Fabric & Home Textiles; Food & Drinks; Household Items; Machinery & Equipment; Baby & Kids Products; Daily Chemicals; and Tourism.
