NITI conducts Morung Scholarship Test across Nagaland

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 24 (MExN): NITI Academy conducted the Morung Scholarship Test across the schools of various districts of Nagaland on Saturdays in November besides NITI Dimapur Center on November 24, offering a life-changing opportunity for over 1,000 students. 

A press release issued by Ajay Sethi, MD of NITI Academy stated that this initiative aims to foster local talent and enable aspiring doctors and engineers to achieve their dreams while staying close to home. It has enabled the students to understand the national pattern of the competitive exams wherein time management, MCQ test, selecting the right questions with calmness is very crucial to avoid negative marking.

The scholarship test, designed to identify and reward academic excellence, provided students with the chance to win cash prizes of up to Rs 10,000. In addition, top-performing students will benefit from up to 100% scholarships for NEET and JEE coaching programs. This initiative reflects NITI’s commitment to ensuring students in Nagaland have access to quality education and career-building opportunities within the state, minimizing the need to relocate to unfamiliar and culturally different regions.

Nagaland’s students often face challenges in accessing competitive coaching facilities without leaving their home state. NITI’s Morung Scholarship Test bridges this gap by offering state-of-the-art coaching programs tailored to the unique needs of local students, the press release maintained. These programs emphasized comprehensive NEET and JEE preparation with IITian faculties, safe and supportive learning environments within Nagaland's pleasant climate and culturally sensitive training that ensures students feel comfortable and motivated.

Through this initiative, NITI seeks to empower students to compete at national levels without compromising on their cultural roots or safety. A participant from Dimapur remarked, “This scholarship is a blessing. It means I can prepare for NEET without the stress of leaving my family and home.” 

Former President of ANPSA (All Nagaland Private Schools Association), Bithungo Kikon commended NITI for the scholarship test & promotion of STEM education in Nagaland, and wished for launching Science stream teaching in Pilgrim Hr. Sec. School from the academic year 2026.

NITI envisions a future where Nagaland’s brightest minds can confidently step into the nation’s governmental medical and engineering colleges at a low cost while inspiring others to follow their path of perseverance and success.

It may be noted that Class VIII to XII students interested in Science stream can avail Morung Scholarships for preparation for NEET & JEE exams through coaching & crash courses. Awards & Rewards will be declared after a week, during which students can undergo counseling for better careers.
