Niuland, September 27 (MExN): The 2nd quarterly meeting of the District Level Committee for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) in Niuland district was held at Deputy Commissioner’s office on September 26. A DIPR report stated that the meeting was presided over by DC Niuland, Sara S Jamir (NCS). In her opening remarks emphasised the vital importance of creating awareness and providing essential support and guidance to the girl child.
Kelengunuo Solo, the BBBP Nodal Officer for Niuland, and EAC, provided a comprehensive overview of all activities conducted during the 1st and 2nd Quarters. She also presented a status report on upcoming activities, highlighting the commitment of the district to the cause.
Temsurenla Jamir, District Manager, SBI introduced the “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana” scheme, a savings initiative for the girl child under BBBBP. This scheme aims to secure the financial future of girls and has the potential to greatly benefit the community.
The DC called upon the Nodal Officer and the District Welfare Officer to facilitate seamless coordination with all line departments to continue convergence schemes effectively during the upcoming two quarters.
