Niuland: DLC meeting on DA JGUA scheme held to address critical gaps

NIULAND, JUNE 10 (MExN): The District Level Committee (DLC) meeting for the implementation of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA JGUA) Scheme was held on June 9 in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner, Niuland. 

A press release issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Niuland highlighted that the DA JGUA aim to improve the lives of tribal communities by addressing critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood. It is a nationwide initiative focused on the holistic development of tribal areas, aiming to ensure sustainable development through various interventions.

The main aims and objectives of DA JGUA to implement in Niuland district include-  

Saturating Government Services:  Ensuring that eligible tribal individuals and families receive essential government services and benefits, including Aadhaar cards, ration cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, and various other welfare schemes.

Awareness and Empowerment:  To create awareness among tribal communities about the various government programs and schemes designed for their benefit, empowering them to access these entitlements.

Holistic Development: To strive for holistic development by addressing gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood opportunities, ultimately improving the quality of life for tribal people.

Community Participation: To encourage active participation of local administration, frontline workers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign and the delivery of benefits to the intended beneficiaries.

Village-Level Camps: The campaign shall utilize a village-level/cluster camp approach to ensure that entitlements are delivered on the ground.

Convergence of Departments: It emphasizes the importance of departmental convergence to ensure that different government schemes and programs work together effectively to achieve the desired outcomes.

The campaign will be overseen by Vitoka Yepthomi, Extra Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Nodal Officer for (DAJGUA) Niuland District, the press release stated.
