Niuland holds meeting for 2-lane road project

Niuland, August 8 (MExN): Various gaonburas (GBs and public leaders have agreed to issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the concerned department before August 12, to pave way for the Departmental survey in connection to the 2-lane project from Showuba to Pangsha, the state DIPR informed on Monday.

As per the DIPR, Niuland Deputy Commissioner Sara S jamir held a consultative meeting on August 8 with the NHIDCL officials and various GBs and public leaders including Western Sumi Hoho on matters relating to the preparation of detailed project report (DPR) for 2-laning from Showuba connecting Guzunyu- Phughoboto- Zunheboto- Noklak to Pangsha.

DC Jamir stated that there would be no land compensation on the 2-lane project except for damages to developed properties within the parameters of the required land. Sara urged the public leaders to co-operate with the administration and concerned companies for the development of the district. The DIPR report stated that the public leaders and GB expressed their opinions and agreed to issue the NOCs so that the Departmental survey can be done at the earliest.
