Niuland plans surprise checks to curb office absenteeism

Niuland, July 12 (MExN): Niuland District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner, Niuland on July 11. 

Deputy Commissioner & Vice chairman of DPDB, Sara S Jamir while chairing the meeting said the administration will be conducting surprise checking once or twice every month and if any office found closed during the working days/hours would be reported to the Chief Secretary for necessary action DC. 

She also said officers who plan to be out of station from the district should apply for leave from DC, stated a DIPR report. Jamir also requested officials from RD Department to complete all schemes/projects on stipulated time since the department directly deals with each and every household in the district.

Following agendas were deliberated and approved during the meeting: Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2025-2026; Request for Financial Aid for construction of multipurpose Yoga Hall and Laboratory at PHC, Kuhuboto under LADP Schemes; Renewal of Society Registration ( Murumi Society); Upgradation of Abrika Memorial School Zaka from class 5 - 8.

The Lead District Manager (LDM SBI) and Rural Development Department gave brief presentation and power point presentation.
