Niuland villages told to stay alert amid Assam eviction

NIULAND, JULY 22 (MExN): Amid the ongoing eviction drive by the Assam government targeting illegal immigrants, the Niuland district administration has issued an advisory directing all villages in the district to stay vigilant and report any unusual movement or suspected influx of migrants.

In an official order issued by Deputy Commissioner Sara S. Jamir, villagers have been asked not to panic but to remain alert to the possibility of illegal immigrants entering Niuland district.
