Three-day long ‘skill training for rural employment’ held under the aegis of Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland (GCN) concluded at Chizami in Phek district on August 5.

Altogether, 257 youth turned up for this training in carpentry, food processing, bee keeping and toilet and laundry soap making.

The resource persons of the training programme included Keneikhrienuo Catherine Mere (Food Processing), Asangla Ao (Soap Making), Er Khuvozoyi Vese, Deputy Team Leader NBHM, Nzanbemo K. Lotha,Team member NBHM, Kekhrowe Tsido, Para Apiary NBHM (Beekeeping) and Ketoulhoulie (Carpentry).

Kewepelo Tsühah, chairman Chizami Village Council handed over certificates to the trainees at the closing function. The closing function was led by Tho-o Shupao while Kekhwetsulo Lasuh invoked God’s blessing. Pfukeduo Sopfu and Lhimese Tsido delivered short speech.

The trainees also shared their experiences and thanked the NKVIB and GCN for organizing the training. Vote of thanks was proposed by Chete Lohe. The programme concluded with benediction by Kezukha-u Mero.
