KOHIMA, JUNE 26 (MExN): The National Conference of the Estimates Committee of Parliament and State/UT Legislative Bodies was held on June 23 and 24 at Vidhan Bhawan, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The conference, organised to mark the 75th anniversary of the Committee on Estimates, brought together Chairpersons of the Committee on Estimates from Parliament and various State Legislatures.
Representing the Nagaland Legislative Assembly at the conference were Imkong L. Imchen, Chairman of the Committee on Estimates; S. Keoshu Yimchunger, Member; and Dr Sukhato A. Sema, Member. The delegation also included the Secretary-in-Charge and an accompanying officer from the Assembly Secretariat.
During the two-day event, participants engaged in deliberations on key issues concerning the Estimates Committee, which plays a vital role in ensuring accountability and transparency in government functioning by acting as a watchdog over various departments.
