The government resolution on “Repeal of the Public Debt, 1944” and amendment of “Government Security Act, 2006 has been introduced today in the fourth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima.
This government resolution was moved by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on the floor of the House. The matter is scheduled to be taken up on February 29.
Later, Chief Minister and Minister-in-Charge of Finance Neiphiu Rio presented the Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2023-2024.
He laid report on review of the trends in receipts and expenditure by the minister-in-charge of the department of finance, for the first, second and third quarter of the year 2023-2024.
He also laid a copy of the Review of the Trends in Receipts and Expenditure for the First, Second and Third quarter of the year 2023-24, as required under Section 11 of the Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2005.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio laid The Nagaland Municipal Election Rules 2023 and Nagaland Municipal Election (Delimitation of Wards) Rules, 2023.
Rio laid the Annual Administrative Reports 2023-2024 of various departments, which includes;
New & Renewal Energy, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Excise and Prohibition, Water Resources,
State Council of Education Research & Training (SCERT), Technical Education, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Land Resources, Labour, Soil and Water Conservation.
