Chandigarh, October 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Student's Union Chandigarh (NLSUC) held its 1st annual gathering cum fresher’s social on October 23 at YWCA Hall, Sector 11B under the theme, “Igniting the path towards unity.”
The Nagaland Student's Union Chandigarh (NLSUC) was formed with a vision to bring the Nagas of Nagaland together; unity among the members and educational empowerment of the Nagaland Student's fraternity in Chandigarh.
The Union was formed on August 22, 2018 consisting of members in an around Chandigarh to meet the needs, requirement and challenges faced by Nagas of Nagaland as an outsider in the city. The formation of the union received an overwhelming and positive response from the Naga community.
Louis Lopez Principal, St. Stephen School Chandigarh graced the occasion as the chief guest and also took the honour of releasing the Constitution of the NLSUC.
Stephen Newmai and Avikali Shikhu were crowned Mr & Miss Fresher respectively.
A press release from the NLSUC informed that about 150 members including students, members, invitees, well wishers and other dignitaries attended the function.
It further informed that Nagas in and around Chandigarh can contact the President - Chollen Chang (9612407663) and General Secretary Woremo Ngullie (8730055867) for any enquiry or help.
