
DIMAPUR, APRIL 16 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has condemned the heinous crimes against young girls in Kathua and Unnao rape cases as well as in other places. A press statement from NMA said the rising crimes against women including children in the country as well as in Nagaland is alarming and has called for an end to such inhumane activities. It called upon the leaders of the respective Governments of Jammu &Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar and Odisha to ensure the strictest punishment on all the perpetrators as per the law. It also urged the Government of India to bring out a stricter law against the rape of children. The NMA has also appealed to all sections of society to end all forms of violence against women and children and ensure their right to peace, dignity and security. “We are in solidarity with all grieving families whose daughters have been violated,” the NMA press statement read.
