Kohima, October 11 (MExN): The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) has issued a condemnation of the sexual violence crimes allegedly committed by former senior pastor Robert Kikon of the Fathers House Church in Chumoukedima. In a press release, the association expressed deep concern over the serious allegations and called for the police to take immediate action regarding the First Information Report (FIR) filed against Kikon.
The NMA emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the case, asserting their solidarity with the affected minor victims, who may have been silenced by societal pressures. The statement highlighted the importance of cooperation from church leaders and the families of the victims to ensure a comprehensive investigation. "This shameful expose is a cruel reminder of the unreported crimes occurring in our society, often perpetuated by individuals disguised as religious leaders," the NMA stated, criticizing the hypocrisy that allows such abuses to persist in silence within church communities.
